Yallingup Siding can be explored through a wide range of interests: wine and lunch, coffee and chocolate, furniture-making, history and exercise. The different offerings give you specific ways to tailor your stay to the preferences of your travel group, rather than putting just one activity at the centre of your plans.

Wine, lunch and coffee

Lunch is served at Rivendell Winery from Thursday to Sunday, between 11:30 am and 3 pm. Paid wine tastings are available until 4:30 pm. As times may change, it is advisable to check the latest information before visiting.

At the GOON|TYCOONS cellar door, visitors can explore the wine selection and enjoy artisan goat’s cheese as well as organic cow’s milk cheese from Margaret River. The winery focuses on single vineyards, lesser-known grape varieties and minimal-intervention winemaking. Its wines are made in small batches from grapes sourced across Western Australia. Visitor arrangements may also change, so take this into account when planning. Mongrel Creek is a separate, small, family-run winery focused on winemaking.

The small family business Commonage Coffee Co & Yallingup Chocolate combines a café with a roastery. It serves hot drinks and food, and roasts specialty coffees from around the world. Visitors can discover locally made chocolate, rock candy and special gifts, and relax under a shady tree. This offers a different focus from a wine tasting: coffee, sweet treats and a break in the shade take centre stage.

Workshop, gallery and history

John Streater Fine Furniture comprises a workshop and a gallery. John Streater built the gallery himself in the 1980s. Its walls are made of solid jarrah and limestone from the South West. Alongside furniture, the gallery displays woodturning and glasswork, as well as children’s puzzles, jewellery and ceramics by artists and makers.

Botanik Yallingup also combines craft with a historic setting: the shop is housed in a carefully renovated old stable. Its offerings include native skincare products, artisan soaps, bush teas and handmade gifts. The surf and car gallery at Aravina Estate can be visited free of charge. As visitor arrangements may change, it is a good idea to check in advance.

The Lucy Isaacs Graveyard connects the history of Sam Isaacs — known for “georgette” — with the early timber industry in the South West. Three generations of the Isaacs family are also buried in the cemetery. This family history and connection to the timber industry offer a different focus from the workshops and shops. You do not need to visit the site to understand its historical significance.

Choose a route and accommodation

The Commonage Road Trail is 10 kilometres long, ends at Wildwood Road in Yallingup Siding and is available year-round. A road cycling group ride described as taking place on Saturdays, and mostly flat, heads south-east through Yallingup Siding and Yelverton, crosses Bussell Highway towards Vasse, and then returns to Dunsborough. This gives you a choice of different route experiences: one route with a set distance and endpoint, and a group ride with a described course through several places. The information about the group ride does not specify any participation requirements.

If you are considering Yallingup Siding as an overnight destination, first think about which interests you want to shape your stay: wine and food, coffee and chocolate, craft, history or exercise. This can help guide your search for hotels in Yallingup Siding. Then check the description of the specific offering against your personal requirements.
