Cumnock offers two distinct highlights: the 120-kilometre Paddock Art sculpture trail, Animals on Bikes, and local places such as the War Memorial Park and a seasonal swimming pool. There are also markets and an agricultural show, each with its own dates. When planning your trip, it helps to decide whether the long drive or a particular local experience will be your main focus.

Animals on Bikes: Art Along a Long Route

The Paddock Art sculpture trail, Animals on Bikes, runs through Molong, Cumnock and Yeoval to Dubbo Zoo. The route is 120 kilometres long. It includes 111 structures standing two metres tall, as well as some smaller mailboxes; the stated number may change over time. The difference in size between the tall structures and the smaller mailboxes creates a range of scales along the art trail.

You can experience the free self-drive tour at any time and at your own pace along the sealed route, including from the window of a car or motorhome. Check current road and access conditions before setting out, as these may change. For trip planning, this is a different format from visiting a single site: the route spans several places and is designed as a longer drive.

Remembrance and Design at War Memorial Park

Cumnock War Memorial Park has mature trees, lawns, stone entrance gates and a sundial. The trees and lawns shape the grounds, while the gates and sundial are distinctive design features. Various commemorative ceremonies are held there throughout the year. The park brings together visible design features and community remembrance.

Agricultural Show and Markets

The one-day Cumnock Show is a small, family-oriented agricultural show. It celebrates and promotes local produce and talent in the Cumnock area. If you are considering the event as a reason for your trip, check the dates and program in advance.

The 2026 Cumnock Markets are held at Crossroads Park in Cumnock, opposite the General Store. They offer fresh cakes and biscuits, jams, chutneys, pickled products, fresh produce and handmade goods. The offerings may vary from market day to market day; check the dates for your travel period.

Swimming Pool and Path in Town

Cumnock Swimming Pool has a 25-metre main pool and a 9-by-6-metre toddlers’ pool. Facilities include barbecue areas, changing rooms, a kiosk, picnic tables, toilets and a youth activity area. The pool operates seasonally. Plan a visit around the seasonal dates and check the current facilities.

An April 2024 report described a shared path along the north side of McLaughlan Street, between Obley Street and the oval. If you plan to use this path, check its current condition.

Plan Your Stay Around What Matters Most

When looking for a hotel in Cumnock, you can plan your travel dates around the experiences you have in mind. The sculpture trail is a drive through several places; War Memorial Park, the swimming pool and local events offer their own highlights in town. Markets and the show depend on their respective dates, while the swimming pool is seasonal.
